Paul openly talked about, no, bragged about, how he was BORN as a roman citizen [Acts 22:27], but was not so forthright or proud about how he became AS a jew, and in fact APOLOGIZED to his brethren, Israelites of the House of Israel, for his becoming a jew, TO THE JEWS, and wasting the assembly of God [read: the house of Israel]:

“for ye did hear of my behaviour once in Judaism, that exceedingly I was persecuting the assembly of God, and wasting it”, Galatians 1:13

Was Paul BORN as a jew?  No.  Had he been BORN as a jew, then he could not have *BECOME AS* a jew.  Did Paul become AS a jew to his fellow Israelites?  No, he said specifically that he became AS a jew *TO THE JEWS*, and not to anybody else.  Why did Paul BECOME AS a jew, ONLY to the jews?  To “gain jews”.

Why did Paul want to “gain” jews?  Didn’t Jesus command His Twelve Disciples to go ONLY to the House of Israel, and thus NOT to the jews?  Paul wanted to “gain” the jews at a time when he didn’t realize that he was an Israelite, of the House of Israel.  It was only after Paul understood the difference between jews and Israelites that he understood why Jesus commanded His Twelve Disciples to go only to the House of Israel:

And I became as a Jew to the Jews, that I might gain Jews, … 1 Corinthians 9:20

And I do this for the gospel, that I might become a fellow partaker of it, 1Corinthians 9:23

Is there a conflict in St. Paul's writings?  No.  But note that the following was written at precisely the time the jews, who had already stoned him and left him for dead once before, and who Paul writes more than 30 times “the jews tried to kill me”, were getting ready to try to kill Paul, once again:

"…  educated under Gamaliel, strictly according to the law of our fathers, being zealous for God just as you all are today” Acts 22:3 

“our fathers”?  These jews, who Jesus called “of your father the devil”, who Jesus claimed were putting their traditions of the elders ahead of the Word and Command of God, are really “zealous for God”?

Clearly Paul is being a bit disingenuous in this verse, something we can forgive him for as, had he not done so, he would not have survived long enough to write this poignant insight for us, and we would not today understand so well the role jews play in destroying our culture, time and time again.  Because Paul wasn’t killed by the jews [that time] now WE can see that Paul became *as* a jew by STUDYING their “religion” under the Pharisee Gamaliel, and not by any change in his race, citizenship, residence,nor even state of mind.  Paul’s “conversion” to Judaism was in accord with what jews claim, which is that anyone can become a jew since Judaism is only a “religion” which anyone can join.  Since he was not a racial jew, both Paul and the jews knew that this “conversion” was in name only and that Paul’s Israelite ancestry was and always will be far more important to him, and any other possible convert to Judaism, than following the traditions of the elders.

We can also see from the following verse that “all jews” are NOT Roman citizens, because had jews been citizens, Claudius couldn’t have ordered “all jews to depart from Rome”:

And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them, Acts 18:2

Who did Paul believe were “His [read: God’s] people”?  Israelites, of the House of Israel.  Did Paul consider himself to be an Israelite, of the House of Israel?  Yes, of the Tribe of Benjamin, which has always been of the House of Israel.  Did Paul believe that God would thrust away His people?  No.  Did Paul believe that Israelites of the House of Israel were “out of Abraham’s seed”?  Yes, of course.  Would Paul, who wrote of the importance of this genealogy to himself, to Jesus, to the other apostles and disciples, have theorized that other non-Israelites could be “grafted in” to the House of Israel?  Paul, just like Jesus and God, would consider such a thought to be an abomination:

Romans 11:1 I say then, Did not God thrust away His people? Let it not be! For I also am an Israelite, out of Abraham's seed, of the tribe of Benjamin.

Why do modern churches, jews, politicians, many educated church leaders, even secular schools, teach a doctrine which is so contrary to Scripture, racist, destructive, even an abomination and blasphemy before God?  Because they believe [erroneously] that they are NOT “out of Abrahams’ seed”, not Israelites, not of the House of Israel, and not “His people”.

If only they knew the TRUTH!
