Don't Defile the Israelite Race And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her. Gen 34:2 And they slew Hamor and Shechem his son with the edge of the sword, and took Dinah out of Shechem's house, and went out. The sons of Jacob came upon the slain, and spoiled the city, because they had defiled their sister. Gen 34:26-27
t?a^me^' taw-may' A primitive root; to be foul, especially in a ceremonial or moral sense (contaminated): - defile (self), pollute (self), be (make, make self, pronounce) unclean, X utterly. What is not noted in the above Strong's definition of tame is the most important meaning it could possibly have, which is to defile the racial purity of the House of Israel as described in Genesis 34:26. This has little to do with the "ceremonial" or "moral" sense and is far more important to the survival of the Israelite Race than following ceremonial laws. Because of misleading definitions like this, it's impossible to comprehend what the following Scripture means, particularly if you don't know that the same Hebrew word is used for defile, nor that the "idols" referred to here are actually non-Israelites or mamzers with whom miscegenation is possible:
The following Scripture underscores that it's a sexual act which causes a woman to be defiled: defiled; Num 5:29 The appearance of both tame and tumah in the same Scripture indicates the close relationship between defiled and uncleanness:
Young's Literal Translation, which translates niddah as separated one rather than removed woman, provides additional evidence that tumah is racial rather than merely sexual or spiritual impurity. The nakedness of a father hath one uncovered in thee, The defiled of impurity they humbled in thee. Eze 22:10Eze 36:17
nidda^h nid-daw' From H5074; properly rejection; by implication impurity, especially personal (menstruation) or moral (idolatry, incest): - X far, filthiness, X flowers, menstruous (woman), put apart, X removed (woman), separation, set apart, unclean (-ness, thing, with filthiness).

And so he shall do for the tabernacle of the congregation dwelling in the midst of their pollutions.Lev 18:19 `And unto a woman in the separation of her uncleanness thou dost not draw near to uncover her nakedness.Lev 22:3 Tell them, 'If anyone of all your seed throughout your generations approaches the holy things, which the children of Israel make holy to Yahweh, having his uncleanness on him, that soul shall be cut off from before me. I am Yahweh.Lev 7:20 But the soul that eateth of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, that pertain unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.Num 5:19 The priest shall cause her to swear, and shall tell the woman, 'If no man has lain with you, and if you haven't gone aside to uncleanness, being under your husband, be free from this water of bitterness that brings a curse.2Sa 11:4 And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house.
