Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness

Exo 23:1 Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thy hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

 

(Deu 5:20) Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbor.

(Deu 19:16) If a false witness shall rise up against any man to testify against him that which is wrong;

(Deu 19:17) Then both the men between whom the controversy is shall stand before the LORD, before the priests, and the judges, who shall be in those days;

(Deu 19:18) And the judges shall make diligent inquisition: and behold, if the witness is a false witness, and hath testified falsely against his brother;

(Deu 19:19) Then shall ye do to him, as he had thought to do to his brother: so shalt thou remove the evil from among you.

(Deu 19:20) And those who remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil among you.

 

(Pro 6:16) These six things doth the LORD hate: yes, seven are an abomination to him:

(Pro 6:17) A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood.

(Pro 6:18) A heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that are swift in running to mischief,

(Pro 6:19) A false witness that speaketh lies, and him that soweth discord among brethren.

Pro 19:5 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.

Pro 19:9 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.

Mat 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

 

Mat 19:18 He saith to him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

Mar 10:19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honor thy father and mother.

 

Luk 18:20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor thy father and thy mother.

Rom 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there is any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
