school districts. Tell them of FERPA. Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act DOnnie. I
had this years ago. Send them a Western Union Mailgram with confirmation copy to yourself
and one to the FERPA office (Dept. of Education, IN washington,m D.C.) Pat Ballinger USED
to head the office. They generally follow up with a letter to the SCHOOL DISTRICT copying
them with the law and DE policy. They have 30 days to comply when they get the letter from
Dof E. If they have not complied, you call FERPA and the SCHOOL DISTRICT loses ALL of its
federal grants! ALL!!!!!!
