Isaiah
We can prove that Jesus quotes Isaiah frequently, just as we can prove that many of His
other quotes can be found in the "old" testament [a phrase manufactured by the
church, and not provided nor accepted by God or Jesus]. We know the following is
from Isaiah, because Scripture explicitly states that it was, and we can find the precise
part of Isaiah that Jesus quoted. When we compare that to what we believe Jesus
said, we can determine exactly what Jesus meant, rather than blindly accept what the
church wants us sheeple to think He meant.
It's this verse from Isaiah which Jesus quoted which the jews FALSELY claimed was proof
that Jesus said He was God in the flesh, even though He and His Disciples referred to Him
as the "son of God" more than 46 times. It's not possible for Jesus to
have claimed to be both God in the flesh, and the son of God, unless you want to believe
that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob was a hermaphrodite. It's Isaiah that
Jesus quoted when He made the distinction between "man" [Enosh] and "son of
man" [descendants of Adam], a distinction which Jesus and His Disciples clearly
understood, but which was lost in the translations to both Greek and English. It's
Isaiah who the church quotes to "prove" that there was to be a virgin birth,
when in fact the Hebrew word "Almah" which appears in Isaiah 7:14 means maiden
and not virgin. Had Isaiah intended to refer to a virgin birth, he would have used
the Hebrew word for virgin, "bethulah" in this verse, just as he did in the
following verse:
Isa 62:5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin
[bethulah], so shall
thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.
An important concept which IS in Isaiah, but which is suspiciously absent from John 12
is "holy seed", a reference to the house of Israel
which Jesus claimed He was sent ONLY to. It's a good bet that earlier writings DID
include this vital reference which was removed by a church with an obvious agenda of
obfuscation. The false impression conveyed by this omission is that the "holy
seed" is no longer important to God, when THIS is the entire CORE of His Very BEING.
The removal of this phrase is proof of the tyranny of the church, and it's
willingness to mess with the Word of God in order to DECEIVE us:
Joh 12:9 Much people of the Jews
therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they
might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
Joh 12:10 But the chief
priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;
Joh 12:11 Because that by
reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.
Joh 12:12 On the next day
much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to
Jerusalem,
Joh 12:13 Took branches of
palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name
of the Lord.
Joh 12:14 And Jesus, when
he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
Joh 12:15 Fear not,
daughter of Zion; behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
Joh 12:16 These things
understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered
they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.
Joh 12:17 The people
therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from
the dead, bare record.
Joh 12:18 For this cause
the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.
Joh 12:19 The Pharisees
therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is
gone after him.
Joh 12:20 And there were
certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
Joh 12:21 The same came
therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we
would see Jesus.
Joh 12:22 Philip cometh and
telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.
Joh 12:23 And Jesus
answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
Joh 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
Joh 12:25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
Joh 12:26 If any
man serve
me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honor.
Joh 12:27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
Joh 12:28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came
there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
Joh 12:29 The people
therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
Joh 12:30 Jesus answered
and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
Joh 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
Joh 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
Joh 12:33 This he
said, signifying what death he should die.
Joh 12:34 The people
answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth forever: and how sayest
thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?
Joh 12:35 Then Jesus said
unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
Joh 12:36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
Joh 12:37 But though he had
done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
Joh 12:38 That the saying
of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled,
which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord
been revealed?
Joh 12:39 Therefore they
could not believe, because that Isaiah said again,
Joh 12:40 He hath blinded
their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
[Where we know here that "I should heal them" was a quote from
Isaiah, and "I" was God, jews use this verse to claim, FALSELY, that Jesus
claimed to be God in the flesh.
Joh 12:41 These things said
Isaiah, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
Joh 12:42 Nevertheless
among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did
not confess him, lest
they should be put out of the synagogue:
Joh 12:43 For they loved
the praise of men more than the praise of God.
Joh 12:44 Jesus cried and
said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
Joh 12:45 And he
that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
Joh 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
Joh 12:47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one
that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Joh 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
Joh 12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
From Isaiah we know
exactly what Jesus meant by "holy seed", "son of man", "man", "virgin":
Isa 51:12 I, even I, am he that
comforteth you: who art
thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;
Isa 51:12 I,595 even I,595 am he1931 that comforteth5162 you: who4310 art thou,859 that thou shouldest be afraid3372 of a man4480,
582 [enosh] that shall die,4191 and
of the son4480, 1121 of man120 [son of Adam]
which shall be made5414 as grass;2682
Isa 56:2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth
the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
Isa 56:2 Blessed835 is the man582 [enosh] that doeth6213 this,2063 and the son1121
of man120 [son of Adam] that layeth hold2388 on
it; that keepeth8104 the
sabbath7676 from polluting4480, 2490 it, and keepeth8104 his hand3027 from doing4480,
6213 any3605 evil.7451
Isa 6:1 In the year that king
Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train
filled the temple.
Isa 6:2 Above it stood the
seraphims: each one had six wings with twain he covered his face, and with twain he
covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
Isa 6:3 And one cried unto
another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
Isa 6:4 And the posts of
the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
Isa 6:5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I
dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD
of hosts.
Isa 6:6 Then flew one of
the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off
the altar:
Isa 6:7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this
hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
Isa 6:8 Also I heard the
voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Isa 6:9 And he said, Go,
and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive
not.
Isa 6:10 Make the heart of
this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their
eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
Isa 6:11 Then said I, Lord,
how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses
without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
Isa 6:12 And the
LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great
forsaking in the midst of the land.
Isa 6:13 But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a
teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the
substance thereof.
Isa 7:1 And it came to pass
in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and
Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but
could not prevail against it.
Isa 7:2 And it was told the
house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and
the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.
Isa 7:3 Then said the LORD
unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-jashub thy son, at the end of the
conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller's field;
Isa 7:4 And say unto him,
Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these
smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
Isa 7:5 Because Syria,
Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,
Isa 7:6 Let us go up
against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the
midst of it, even the
son of Tabeal:
Isa 7:7 Thus saith the Lord
GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.
Isa 7:8 For the head of
Syria is Damascus, and
the head of Damascus is
Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a
people.
Isa 7:9 And the head of
Ephraim is Samaria, and
the head of Samaria is
Remaliah's son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
Isa 7:10 Moreover the LORD
spoke again unto Ahaz, saying,
Isa 7:11 Ask thee a sign of
the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.
Isa 7:12 But Ahaz said, I
will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.
Isa 7:13 And he said, Hear
ye now, O house of David; Is it a small
thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?
Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord
himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin [also see virgin] shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name
Immanuel.
Isa 7:15 Butter and honey
shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
Isa 7:16 For before the
child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest
shall be forsaken of both her kings.
Isa 7:17 The LORD shall
bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father's house, days that have not
come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria.
Isa 7:18 And it shall come
to pass in that day, that the LORD shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
Isa 7:19 And they shall
come, and shall rest all of them in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rocks,
and upon all thorns, and upon all bushes.
Isa 7:20 In the same day
shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired, namely, by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the
feet: and it shall also consume the beard.
Isa 7:21 And it shall come
to pass in that day, that a man shall nourish a young cow, and two sheep;
Isa 7:22 And it shall come
to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat
that is left in the land.
Isa 7:23 And it shall come
to pass in that day, that every place shall be, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand
silverlings, it shall even be for briers and thorns.
Isa 7:24 With arrows and
with bows shall men
come thither; because all the land shall become briers and thorns.
Isa 7:25 And on all hills that shall be digged with the
mattock, there shall not come thither the fear of briers and thorns: but it shall be for
the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of lesser cattle.
Isaiah 56: Irony, or the REAL Word of
God?
In the following verse, we have to question exactly where Isaiah would have gotten the
authority to include "enosh" [Strong's #582, translated as "man"] and
"Adam" [Strong's #120, also translated as "man"], and
"nekar" [Strong's #5236, translated as "stranger"] as "his
people" when "the LORD" had made it abundantly clear in prior verses that
such people were NEVER to even be admitted into the congregation of the LORD:
Isa 56:2 Blessed835 is the man582 that doeth6213 this,2063 and the son1121 of
man120 that layeth hold2388 on it; that keepeth8104 the sabbath7676 from polluting4480, 2490 it, and keepeth8104 his hand3027 from doing4480, 6213
any3605 evil.7451
Isa 56:3 Neither408 let the son1121 of the stranger,5236 that hath joined himself3867 to413 the LORD,3068 speak,559 saying,559 The LORD3068 hath utterly separated914, 914 me from4480, 5921
his people:5971 neither408 let the eunuch5631 say,559 Behold,2005 I589 am a dry3002 tree.6086
The following clue that this is irony, which ironically is exactly what
"churches" teach today, brings us closer to the truth that Isaiah would NOT have
attempted to abolish God's Law:
Isa 56:5 Even unto them
will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and
of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
Isn't this EXACTLY what churches claim today? That the ACTUAL heirs to God's
EVERLASTING covenant are no longer heirs--BUT EVERYBODY ELSE IS???
ISN'T THIS EXACTLY THE ABOMINATION FOR WHICH GOD DESTROYED ISRAELITES BY
THE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS?
The plot thickens:
Isa 56:7 Even them will I bring to
my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and
their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for
mine house shall be called a house of prayer for all people.
Solomon had to build a SEPARATE TEMPLE just so that his Egyptian wife, the daughter of
the pharaoh, couldn't enter the temple of the LORD--but now Isaiah COMMANDS that God
accept ALL sacrifices from ALL people in HIS house? I don't think so:
Isa 56:9 All ye beasts of the
field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.
The animals, too? We now let the animals of the field, and the animals of the
forest--INTO GOD'S TEMPLE?!!
Well, no, this is NOT what Isaiah proposed. What Isaiah DID DO was to CONDEMN the
Israelites, and "His watchmen", for being BLIND, IGNORANT, DUMB, DOGS THAT
CANNOT BARK, LAZY, GREEDY, STUPID, DRUNKEN SHEPHERDS who wouldn't recognize God's Law if
it slapped them on the side of the head:
Isa 56:10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant,
they are all dumb dogs,
they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
Isa 56:11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to
their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
Isa 56:12 Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill
ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.
In a very memorable way, using irony, Isaiah laid out all the blasphemous and
abominable acts that Israelites must NOT participate in. Enosh, Adamites, and Nekar
[other non-Israelites] are NEVER to be permitted into the congregation of the LORD, and
those who permit them CANNOT claim to be "His Watchmen".
