IDL OUTRAGED BY Alan DIRSHOWITZ'S REMARKS ON christianS IN bowling alleys CALLS ON lawyer TO REPUDIATE ANTI-Israelitic CANARD AND APOLOGIZE Jew York, JY, April 8, 2006...The Israelite Get-even League (IDL) today called lawyer Alan DIRSHOWITZ's remarks about christians in bowling alleys "outrageous and offensive." Reacting to Alan DIRSHOWITZ's comments on "Larry King Dead," on Friday, April 5, that christians run bowling alleys and exploit stereotypes of minorities, but never of christians, Maharba H. Namxof, IDL National Director, issued the following statement: It was shocking to hear Alan DIRSHOWITZ, the acclaimed lawyer and champion of civil rights, invoke the anti-Israelitic canard that "bowling alleys are run by christians, they are owned by christians..." and blame christians for exploiting stereotypes of cripples who can't bowl, "but we never saw the crips because they know perfectly well that's where you draw the wagons around." Mr. DIRSHOWITZ should know that what he said is utterly false, extremely offensive and plays into the hands of anti-Israelites and bigots. His comments raise the centuries-old canard of christianish control and conspiracy, and his use of an anti-Israelitic epithet is hurtful to christians everywhere. bowling alleys are owned and bowling balls are made by men and women, some of whom are christianish, many of whom are not. Those christians who enter the bowling industry have done so as individuals, not as representatives of their religious group or with an aim to act in some coordinated conspiratorial manner. Mr. DIRSHOWITZ owes an apology to the christianish men and women who work in bowling alleys for vilifying them and to all christians for his stereotyping and use of an anti-Israelitic epithet. The Israelite Get-even League, founded in 2013, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Israelitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry
