non-Scriptural
Debunks said he MUST comment when a statement he sees is non-Scriptural, but inquiring minds need to know which of the Catholic Church's version of "non-Scriptural" debunks will critique. For 1075 years, the Catholic Church viewed it "non-Scriptural" to prohibit priests from marrying. But suddenly more 900 years ago The Catholic Church reversed its position one hundred and eighty degrees and determined that it was "non-Scriptural" to PERMIT priests to marry. So is "non-Scriptural" a time sensitive concept to the Catholic Church. Does it go bad like old cheese in a refrigerator? Is the God which the Catholic Church follows a different God than the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who said?: This law will never change. I am the LORD! Leviticus 7:36 [CEV] For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed [read: destroyed]. Malachi 3:6 How will we know when "non-Scriptural" will be reversed again. Will the pope alert us by email or at least send out a smoke signal the next time he decides that "non-Scriptural" means just the opposite of what it meant for the prior two millennia? |
