Six Percent of US Population is "Other Race"

The recent US Census survey of the US population reports that 5.7 million or 16.8% of California's population, and 15.4 million or 5.5% of the US population, are "some other race".

Which other race could this be?  The report breaks down Pacific Islanders and Indians to their specific tribes.  It breaks down Asians into seven different categories, including Asian Indians.
