In Belfast, Ireland, recently a teacher we had met graciously showed us all the highlights of that historic city, even though just about everyone else we met deferred "we're really not set up yet for tourists".  This deferral was based on the worldwide reputation Belfast had gained when the "republic-ans" blew up the Europa Hotel and other popular hangouts for their political opponents
