"Su lego"

The Greek words that describe how Jesus Christ responded when Pontias Pilate asked Him "Art thou the King of the Jews" were:

"Su lego".

"Su" is Strong's # 4771 which is defined as "the person pronoun of the second person singular; thou".

"lego" is Strong's # 3004 which is defined as "shew, speak, tell, utter".

Twelve different translators agree that it means "so you say" or "Thou sayest".

Only one translator, Weymouth New Testament, or WNT, states that it means "it is as you say".

These two different translations are 180 degrees contradictory to each other.  Either "su lego" means "YOU say this", or it means "I agree with you".  It cannot mean both.

Easton's Dictionary on Jew:

the name derived from the patriarch Judah, at first given to one belonging to the tribe of Judah or to the separate kingdom of Judah (2Ki_16:6; 2Ki_25:25; Jer_32:12; Jer_38:19; Jer_40:11; Jer_41:3), in contradistinction from those belonging to the kingdom of the ten tribes, who were called Israelites.

At no place in the Holy Bible does Jesus Christ ever say that He was a "jew", nor did He ever claim to be "King of the Jews".  Jesus Christ was an ISRAELITE, and Israelites are not jews, so no honest and respectable translator should ever have taken the words "su lego" to mean "it is as you say".  The fact that 12 out of 13 translators agree that it means "YOU say it" is evidence enough that this is what it means:

Luk 23:3 (ASV) And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest.

Luk 23:3 (Darby) And Pilate demanded of him saying, Art *thou* the king of the Jews? And he answering him said, Thou sayest.
