Jefferson also expressed general agreement with his friend Joseph Priestley's Unitarian form of Christianity. In an 1822 letter to Benjamin Waterhouse he wrote, "I rejoice that in this blessed country of free inquiry and belief, which has surrendered its conscience to neither kings or priests, the genuine doctrine of only one God is reviving, and I trust that there is not a young man now living in the United States who will not die a Unitarian."

The American Revolution in 1776 was inspired greatly when the greatest empire the world had ever known, the British Empire, established Trinitarians in 1774 as the state religion and disenfranchised all others, in particular Unitarians who constituted 99% of our Founding Fathers, only 1% of whom were Catholics:

"The Toleration Act was passed by the British Parliament in 1689. This act permitted other religious denominations, such as Puritans, Quakers, Baptists, Catholics, and Jews, to legally exist in England alongside the Church of England. However, these non-Anglican denominations, referred to as dissenters or nonconformists, could only refer to their meeting houses as chapels. The word "church" was reserved for the Church of England. Also, dissenters were not allowed to hold public office, serve in the armed forces or attend the universities.

"Within the Anglican Communion there was also growing unrest over the parliamentary requirement that the Anglican clergy must "subscribe" to the doctrinal articles of the church, including the Athanasian doctrine of the Trinity. For nearly a century afterwards a growing controversy continued over that requirement. A climax was reached in 1771, when Parliament refused a petition to abolish the requirement of "subscription." This precipitated some of the non-subscribing clergy to withdraw from the church. One of these, Theophilus Lindsey, was the organizer of the first Unitarian congregation in England. Lindsey conducted his first service for a large congregation in an auction room on Essex Street, London, on April 14th, 1774. Among those in that first congregation were Benjamin Franklin and his friend, Joseph Priestley."

A short 160 years later, it was no longer true that the sun never set on the British Empire, because set it did, and this former empire had to resort to begging for help from its former colony in America to protect it from the advancing Germans.  Not only did we help them, but the American Empire which replaced theirs now has ten times the world influence that the British Empire could ever have hoped to have had, and we did it without having to force a single convert to any religion, not even Catholicism, much less Unitarianism.

But now 58 million of 304 million Americans, or 19.1% of Americans, are Roman Catholics who are again preaching Trinitarianism, and  they've already undermined everything our Unitarian Founding Fathers spilt blood to protect, plus some.  Their adverse influence permitted jews into positions of power and authority which jews didn't have until years after blacks were freed from slavery, banned Christian prayers to God in "public school" classrooms built by UNITARIANS, fomented civil rights activism to overthrow the original pristine Constitution which plunged black household incomes two thirds, quintupled the percent of blacks growing up in fatherless households, and quadrupled the percent of blacks incarcerated prior to age 33.  Predominately Catholic states have SAT scores 154 points lower than, abortion and murder and property crime rates 5 to 8 times higher than, and have marriage rates half that of, predominately Protestant states, and have all "legalized" gay marriage while 72% of the voters in Catholic-free Kansas and 90% of the voters in Catholic-free Florida amended their constitutions to PROHIBIT them.

GODDESS WORSHIPERS

In Catholic churches throughout all of Central and South America you're lucky to see any evidence of Jesus, with "mother mary" being front and center.  While this is partly true in North America, there they make no pretense.  It was finally explained to this author while in Nicaragua that the indigenous people there were originally [or in reality still are] goddess worshipers, and that to get them into Catholic churches, the church simply removed Jesus from the picture. This little sleight of hand enabled this church to claim that membership worldwide more than doubled, and that in the US, 39.6 million "Hispanics" make up 68.3% of American Catholics.

Who exactly are the people who Jesus said He spoke in parables about in order to prevent them from understanding Him, and thus from being saved?  Isn't it the same group of "Hispanics" who LOST the Spanish American War and who murdered OUR Forefathers at the Alamo?  Isn't it both spitting on the blood spilt by our Forefathers and slapping God's Face to now SUBSIDIZE them and permit them to join with this pagan "church" just so they can all join together to spread their false "religion"?

THE OTHER 18.4 MILLION CATHOLICS

If the other 18.4 million Americans who the Catholic Church claims are members who are not Hispanics hold the same beliefs of the Catholics I know, then less than half of them or 9.2 million actually "believe in the trinity".  This would be less than 3% of the American population, and we should NOT let this 3% ruin or rule our lives.

TORAH

The jews demanded of the Romans that Jesus be crucified for blasphemy for claiming that He WAS God.  The Romans refused, and Jesus asked simply in John 10:34: "Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods".  The jews did not know "your law" and crucified Him anyway, proof that they knew nothing about The Word of God and instead followed the Talmud.  But what exactly was Jesus quoting that was "written", and was it "law" or simply the Torah?

Is this a "law", or simply the Word of God, or Torah which occurs 219 times in the "old" testament and is always translated as "law"?  As Torah means literally the first five books of the Holy Bible, it certainly includes law, but is obviously much, much more than just law and thus is a mistranslation to refer to it as law.  So when Jesus said something to the jews that was translated as "your law", He was referring to the entire Torah which He knew the jews knew nothing about, and despised as much as they despise to this day.  Forgetting about what is meant by we are gods and children [descendants] of the most High for a moment, if Jesus was simply quoting Psalms 82, the jews cannot ever prove their case that He was guilty of blasphemy.

To become a trinitarian, you must accept that what the jews charged was accurate, reject Jesus' denial, and believe the Son of God was unable to accurately quote the Word of God or make it plain to jews that He WAS quoting it.  WHO, exactly "are gods" and "descendants of the most High" if not the House of Israel, and in particular the most famous Israelite of the House of Israel ever, Jesus?  The word "gods" in Psalms above was translated from "elohym" [Strong's #430] which appears 2,605 times in the "old" testament, 216 times as "gods" and 2,366 times as "God". 

If Israelites ARE "gods" in at least one verse, and if Jesus was telling the TRUTH, we simply cannot continue to ignore the possibility that some or all of the 216 instances of "gods" is a reference to US and not God. Since Jeremiah is my favorite, favorite prophet, and since I've had the opportunity to stand on his tomb 2,587 years after he was buried there, let's launch into this mine field with one of his most quixotic verses:

Jeremiah 11:10 They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.

These were two separate covenants, and it's Jeremiah himself who later tells us that even though the House of Judah was a greater sinner than the House of Israel, it was the House of Israel who was "divorced" by God, not the House of Judah.  But who or what are these "other gods" they served who God did not WANT us to serve?  Were they crosses or eucharists or statues of someone's mother, as in the case of the RCC?  Were they fallen Israelites who led the House of Israel so astray that God DIVORCED us, as with many Protestant denominations today?  Were they all the Israelites of the House of Israel who worshipped each other more than they worshipped God?  Were they NON-Israelites, like the jews today who are worshipped by Christian Zionists?  Or were they literal gods, like Allah is for Arabs, Buddha is for Asians, Dangun is for Koreans, and the Emperor of Japan is for Shintos?
