During the administration of John Adams, the country's second
president,
the Senate ratified the Treaty of Peace and Friendship, which states
in
Article XI that
"...the government of the United States of America
is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion,
.... it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws,
religion or tranquility of Musselmen..."
(The Treaty of Peace and Friendship was signed at Tripoli November 4,
1796 and at Algiers January 3, 1797. Original in
Arabic. Submitted to the Senate May 29, 1797.
(Message of May 26, 1797.)
Resolution of advice and consent June 7, 1797.
Ratified by the United States June 10, 1797.)
Adams wrote:
"Twenty times in the course of my late reading,
have I been upon the point of breaking out,
"This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there
were no religion in it!"

Who gives a rat's a.s what John Adams "thought"?

Who gives a rat's a.s what "treaty" was signed with sand niggers--if it
violates the Bill of Rights, namely "free exercise of religion" for the 273
million putative Christians in this putative Christian nation, it's null and
void.

100% of our Founding Forefathers were Christians.  The US Constitution is
based 100% on Christian principles, not the Talmud, and not the Koran.  93%
of Americans today proclaim they're Christians.

If you don't like living in a Christian nation, go to Tripoli.
