The term "unemployed" is a scam intended solely to mislead the American public into believing that we have a "low unemployment rate". The facts can be learned from the Bureau of Labor Statistics which reports that there are only 5,655,000 Americans over the age of 16 who are "unemployed", but another 68,385,000 who are "not in the labor force". For every one "unemployed" American, there are 12 who don't work and 11 who don't even want a job. Those who are "unemployed" are 4.5% of the employed work force, but those who are "not in the labor force" are another 54.1%. If we were honest with ourselves, we would include all of those over the age of 16 who are not in school as being "unemployed", which would give us an unemployment rate of 58.6%--not 4.5%.
