Workplace injuries: a man is 25% more likely to miss work from being bitten than from being shot

If the frequency with which men and women miss work is consistent with overall injuries and assaults across the country, then:

Compared to women who are raped, men are:

	20,532 times as likely to be injured or assaulted.
	499 times as likely to be injured in an auto or truck accident.
	110 times as likely to be injured or assaulted in the workplace.
	Three times as likely to be either bitten or shot by a gun.
	Twice as likely to be verbally abused.

Compared to women who are raped, all women are:

	10,109 times as likely to be injured or assaulted by all other causes.
	187 times as likely to be injured in an auto or truck accident.
	233 times as likely to injured or assaulted in the workplace.
	29 times as likely to be squeezed.
	Twice as likely to be verbally abused.

Compared to being shot by a gun, a man is:

	7,208 times more likely to be injured or assaulted by all other causes.
	175 times more likely to be inujured in an auto or truck accident.
	25% more likely to be bitten.
	40% more likely to be squeezed.
